Duration - 12 days (2 for traveling and 10 for hiking)
Season - Summer
Trip Type - Star hikes
Accommodation type - Hotels
Family Challenge Level - All around
Arrival - a flight to Munich in Germany, and from there a car ride to the Tyrol Valley. Shorter than landing in Vienna, the capital of Austria, and driving. We divided the trip into two parts and in each we took a hotel and left it for hikes. On this trip Rife is two and a half years old and Abigail is one year old.
Accommodation and meals - this time we went for hotels with breakfast and dinner as well as a pool. The consideration was that with two children, it is better to be less busy with food and Rafe needs a suitable space to release his afternoon energy and he really likes pools. In the end it was a lot of fun, but our understanding personally is that there is not much added value in a big breakfast, it also takes more time to go down, eat and return to the room, And in the end we only eat Quaker with fruit, and dinner with the kids was also a bit challenging, so on the next trip (to France) we went for renting an apartment.
Hikes - we hiked in two locations - Zell am See and Mayrhofen. And the way of the trip is similar to Italy - get up in the morning for breakfast, prepare ten meals of sandwiches and take fruit, go out on foot or ride the cable car, climb the mountain, hike, make a lot of stops to allow the riff to go and not just be on the carrier, eat lunch, if you want to strengthen with coffee/ Cake in the huts and then return down on foot or by cable car according to the feeling. We usually return to the hotel by 4:00 p.m. to be available to take a shower and get ready for a leisurely dinner.
Equipment - Check our gear list blog in this link

Day 1: Flight to Munich and trip to the mountains
We land in Munich, rent a car and drive to the Zell am See valley. We took a hotel on the side of town near the lake for maximum peace.
Day 2: Easy first hike on the mountain
We take the car to the cable car in the city center and go up the mountain for an easy walk to the lake.
Day 3: Hike to a giant lake through a mountain gorge
We drive to a designated parking lot.
After the circular route, you don't have to go back through the gorge, but there is a path straight to the parking lot. You can also go straight up to the lake on this path, but it is recommended to go through the gorge.
Day 4: A short route on the mountain and a climb to the highest point in the valley - 3029 meters!
A short ride to a nearby cable car and up the mountain on an easy trail to a sweet cabin with a play area. We get on the cable car,
Day 5: A trip to the Children's Forest and a jump into the giant lake
A short drive from the hotel to the cable car,
Day 6: Drive to a new valley -
We leave in the morning for a 4-hour drive to the new valley and on the way we stop to walk to a magical waterfall.
From the parking lot, it's a half-hour walk to the waterfall and you can really get close to it on foot. There's also the option of climbing the mountain to more viewpoints, which is highly recommended depending on your time and fitness. We climbed another half hour and came down. A cafe is highly recommended in front of the waterfall. We arrived at the new hotel,
Day 7: Walking from the hotel to a local hike in the mountains
In light of the forecast of rainy weather, we decided not to go up the mountain but to stay in the valley area.
We walked from the hotel to the starting point for the route,
Day 8: Walking along a stream with waterfalls on each side
An amazing trail that goes up the stream, with waterfalls falling from the mountains beside us.
An easy walk that can also be done with strollers. Go up as far as you want and then come back down.
Day 9: Take the local cable car for a challenging climb
We walked from the hotel to the cable car in the city center,
Day 10: Take the second local cable car to an easy route
Walking from the hotel, to the cable car that goes up to the parallel ridge.
Day 11: Returning to Munich, on the way stopping at another crazy lake and sleeping in a field
Last day for the trails. We decided in advance to sleep at the Munich airport to make it easier to get organized in the morning.
On the way to Munich we stopped at a beach on a lovely lake. Full of games and peace.
Day 12: Flight back to Israel
We slept at the Hilton Hotel at the airport. A little too fancy for us, but it was the closest, right inside the airport, and that allowed us to get up in peace in the morning for our 10:00 flight.
